The Alumni Swing Band

Nearly five years ago, a group of accomplished musicians whose careers have crossed paths in multiple ways, formed the musical group The Alumni Swing Band. The groups consists of music educators, ex-military musicians, professional musicians, a college professor, a school principal and a career military officer. Many of the band members have been friends since their middle school days. The band's love of performing and of music from the swing era have made each practice and performance a labor of love. The Alumni truly enjoy entertaining the audience with songs they can dance to and music that brings back warm memories. The Alumni have performed throughout Fairfield County for private parties, concerts and fundraising events that support the arts and education. The band's repertiore includes classic big band swing and jazz as well as more contemporary selections. Our exciting original arrangements produce a big band sound suited to please both the dancers and the listeners.
